Navarasa Gauri is a live dance and music performance with 3 musicians, 2 modern dancers and a bharata natyam dancer. The content is based on the old script of 'Natya Shastra' written by the wise Bharata and the book 'Yoga of the Nine Emotions' written by Peter Marchand. The performance is divided in two parts. The first shows the negative emotions and the second part the positive emotions.

Leah Kline Invites... February the 9 th, 2008 20.00 hrs

On Saturday the 9th of February Léah Kline will perform in DanceStreet. Recently het cd JuzzFlurtin was released, with a mix of jazz, drama, funk-grooves, poetry and Latin-American and Brazilian styles. During this performance she will be accompanied by a pianist and a special guest.

“Vlaamse Chansons met een ruime blik op Nederland”

In de pers (het Parool) werd het optreden van Micheline Dumonceau en Wim Veenhof beschreven als -oprecht, intens en geloofwaardig-.

Regisseur en chansonnier Nico Knapper (van onder andere -Zeg es A-) zegt over haar:
Ze schrijft in een geheel eigen stijl. Ze doet geen concessies aan makkelijke, oppervlakkige gevoelens. Ze weet haarscherp situaties te schetsen uit haar eigen leven en uit de wereld die haar omgeeft. Die zet ze veelal zelf op muziek en die weet ze te vertolken op een zeer professionele en ontroerende wijze. In mijn loopbaan als regisseur en als ontdekker van nieuw chanson-talent (Liesbeth List, Ramses Shaffy, Herman van Veen en anderen) kom ik maar zo nu en dan iemand tegen die dit niveau heeft.

Tango marathon in Dancetreet.
Op 31 december verzorgen Wouter en Jan Dirk van TangoTerras een tangoparty van 18:00 tot 04:00, aansluitend op het jaarlijkse tangofestival Tangomagia, dat loopt van 27-30 december.  Wouter en Jan Dirk hebben afgelopen zomer en daarna met hun TangoTerras-salons veel succes gehad in de grote foyer van het Muziekgebouw aan het IJ. Nu zorgen ze voor een spetterende tango-party aan het einde van het jaar in Dancestreet. Er wordt gezorgd voor een buffet en om twaalf uur is er champagne voor iedereen. Tri-Changes is a performance about change: it consists of four pieces with clowns, construction workers, thai dancers and refugees that will take you on a trip.
The dances are combined and present a physical picture of the causes and progress of change and the reactions. Find yourself in this portrait, what scares us and what we desire the most.
