New(s) season 2008/2009:

Neo Jazz – all levels by Michel Pierre
This innovative Jazzclass is influenced by African and Urban dance with a dab of 80’s and 90’s flavouring.
We will focus on technique, jumps & turns and being one with music. It’s a lyrical class where bodylines and the essence of music are
of a focal attentionbut also reminiscent of the videoclips of the 80’s and 90’s. A class which will appeal to a wide range of people,
from amateurs to more advanced dancers.
A class which sheds the old paradigm of Jazz ballet, but still providing a technical undertone in a fresh and inspiring way.

Salsa beginners by Michel Pierre
Being a Latino, I really grew up with salsa music. Salsa got played at every birthday party and all the people started dancing spontaneously.
After a couple of years I started studying the different styles of salsa and it is these two things that I want to combine.
The feeling of just having a good time with salsa dancing with a technical undertone. The style in which the lessons will be given is the Puerto Rican style,
also known as the L.A. style.
We will be dealing with the basic steps and turns and several shines (footwork) in the beginners course. We will work with partner- and solo- dancing
and a couple of other Latin American dancingstyles will be dealt with as well, so that you won’t ever have to sit down at a salsa party!.
