We received too few subscriptions for the 2009 Summer Intensive Confidance workshop in June. This is certainly due to the recession period we all have to deal with. We have decided to discontinue this program presented by DanceStreet Studios Amsterdam. We are very sorry to have to make this decision and we certainly hope for a better future.

Sincerely,

Valerie Valentine

Summer Intensive Program

To subscribe for the summer intensive programme, the candidate must have strong dance training and master the basic elements of dance practice. The goal of the programme is to prepare the participants for a professional dance career. Next to the daily classes they will be coached for auditions for major professional companies within Europe and abroad.

The programme consists of 4 weeks in which the participants will be personally supervised by our staff. On successful completion of the programme, the candidate will receive a certificate of attendance plus a DVD for audition purposes.

All ConfiDance staff members are professional dancers, working under the supervision of former  international ballerina Valerie Valentine.

The Summer Intensive begins daily with an Ballet floor barre. There’s an advanced contemporary dance class, Classical & Modern repertoire, Pas de Deux, twice a week Cardio Training and once a week there’s improvisation/composition. During the whole Program there are  regular Gyrotonics and Pilates equipment lessons with a private instructor. These are connected to the Pilates and Gyrokinesis routine. The ConfiDance participant has free access to all other DanceStreet activities like YogaGarden, and other dance classes.

There will be a presentation at the end of the Summer Intensive Program where the students will show on stage the result of the four weeks learning process.
